Asymmetric lighting with the new Urban luminaire

Asymmetric lighting is a technical feature that plays a key role in creating the desired lighting effect. The light angles of a luminaire can be symmetrical or asymmetrical. On the one hand, symmetrical light sources distribute the light equally in all directions, therefore, we would be talking about a uniform light distribution. Asymmetrical light sources on the other hand, direct the light to a specific area.

In this case, asymmetrical light sources provide a “wall wash” effect, through which elements of the space are highlighted. In this meeting room we see how the light highlights both the decorative elements on the wall and those work areas where there is, for example, a whiteboard that needs to be well lit. This is possible thanks to Urban Asymmetric, a luminaire that like many other Beneito Faure models, can be installed both surface-mounted and suspended.

Urban Asymmetric, along with the challenge of luminaires in our C33 catalog, incorporates Dali 2, Tuya and Casambi technologies, lighting regulation systems that allow digital control of each luminaire individually. Among its multiple benefits, we highlight the on/off option, the intensity graduation and the change of color temperature of the product. Its parameters can be modified through its totally intuitive app and the different scenes can be controlled through a remote control. This makes it very easy for the user to control the lighting and adapt it to each moment of the day.

A well-lit meeting room favors people’s concentration and well-being, allowing them to get the most out of every work activity that takes place inside.
